Osteopathy for adults

Adults commonly seek the help of an osteopath for pelvic, back and neck pain but this is not the only reason and all other muscular and joint problems present frequently. Your osteopath is an expert with injuries and strains of hips, knees, ankles, feet, tailbones, skulls, ribs, shoulders, elbows, wrists and hands.

Adults commonly seek the help of an osteopath for pelvic, back and neck pain but this is not the only reason and other muscular and joint problems present frequently. Your osteopath is an expert with strains of hips, knees, ankles, shoulders, elbows, wrists and hands.

Fundamentally osteopathic treatment is the stimulus used to trigger the normal self-healing and reparative processes in the body, which may have become blocked by adaptive compromise. Therefore treatment is the response of your body to this stimulus, so you can help yourself by resting moderately and avoiding excesses after treatment.

Osteopathy is highly effective for a number of musculo-skeletal complaints, pain, stiffness and discomfort.

The best of adult treatment is done when there is a mutual sharing of information, planning and agreement between the patient and their osteopath. We will always work to inform, share, educate and help you towards the best self-care and independence from treatment. We will never exploit your treatment financially as we know and trust that our business is built on happy and loyal people referring their friends and family with confidence.

I started seeing Lara about my sinuses, which have cleared. She has also helped me with my neck pain and digestive problems. Thank you so much Lara.

I have been seeing Steve on and off for years. Every time I see him I feel as if I have been put back together. He’s an incredible osteopath. I highly recommend the practice because of their ethos and very high standard of treatment.

Over the last 6 months Lara has effectively used the Emmett Technique to eliminate my persistent lower back pain as well as foot and heel pain. She has also been able to relieve stress and tension from my neck and shoulders. The relief, as a result of her treatments, is immediate and long-lasting. I would highly recommend her treatments.

I want to thank you Stephen for a great treatment last week. You freed up my whole spine which has been wonderful. You also addressed the specific problem area which is great and has given me my confidence back to return my circuit training. I feel so much better. Thank you again.

Wendy, Morden

Yan Kei is incredibly knowledgable. I felt completely confident in her skills, as she has made so much difference to how I feel. I am grateful for such unexpected outcomes that I didn't think it would be so good.

Finding Simon has had a profound impact on my health and recovery. I have found him to be a wonderful balance of professionalism coupled with a sensitivity and intuition that had supported me when I most needed it.

I have had several treatments with Steve over the years for neck pain, back pain and under active thyroid. Steve has natural healing hands as well as a bank of experience and knowledge, which enhance his effectiveness. He is a very skilled practitioner both sensitive and subtle with powerful results; I have completely recovered from these conditions.

I thought the treatment for pain in my knee was excellent. I felt I was being considered as an individual as Stephen listened to everything I said and gave a treatment appropriate to my needs. His approach was non-invasive. I began to notice an improvement in my knee after a couple of days and the pain has not recurred. To me, it felt as if each treatment enabled my body to correct itself and rebalance.

Steve always manages to put me back together again - then life is a pleasure!

Just before Christmas, my back ‘went’. By ‘went’ I mean I could barely walk and had constant pain in my lower back and leg. I was off work and spent most of the time lying on the floor. I was treated by Stephen and Simon, both of whom have a professional but very calm manner – ideal for anyone who’s in a lot of pain. They identified muscle and sciatic nerve damage. They obviously knew what they were doing because the pain gradually started to ease, such that by the beginning of March I was back on the treadmill in the gym. Would I use SW19Osteopaths again? Definitely. Only this time I’d go sooner.
