Yan-Kei graduated from the European School of Osteopathy (Maidstone, UK) and obtained a Masters Degree in Osteopathy. Through the general osteopathic clinic, and the maternity and children’s clinic there, she acquired a high level of expertise across various treatment methods. These provided her with osteopathic approaches in treating the musculoskeletal system in people of all ages.
Having practiced in Sydney since 2014, Yan-Kei has returned to London. Throughout the years of practicing in Australia, Yan-Kei continually developed her skill sets by attending post-graduate courses and conferences in both Australia and Europe, including ones hosted by the Osteopathic Centre for Children (London).
Yan-Kei has a keen interest in how the organ and cranial systems affect the musculoskeletal system. She developed special interest in treating patients using ligamentous, fascial, visceral and cranial osteopathic approaches. Some of her specialist areas in the visceral health of the body include aiding patients navigate through digestive problems such as IBS, migraine and headaches. She is also skilled in treating women’s health complains such as menstrual cramps. These developments have been supported by courses at the Barral Institute (Visceral Osteopathy), Biodynamic Osteopathic studies and Sutherland Cranial College of Osteopathy, all of which sharpen her skills as an osteopath.
Yan-Kei's experience in working with children since 2007 in Hong Kong and India as a teacher and teaching assistant helped develop her keen interest in children’s developmental health. Yan Kei maintains a major focus on maternal and child health, and has undertaken several advanced courses in these areas. She particularly enjoys treating babies, children and maternity patients.
