Valentina graduated from the University College of Osteopathy in London with a 5-year Master in Osteopathy qualification.
She is passionate about truly understanding her patients’ concerns and helping them get back to their full potential through a combination of listening and understanding their history and issues, then applying osteopathic manual therapy, and purposeful movement activities. She believes it is important to engage with patients and encourage them to have an active role in their healing process.
As an experienced rehab Pilates instructor Valentina believes osteopathy and Pilates are the perfect marriage of tools to help with chronic injuries and pain management. After an injury during a ballet performance, Valentina found Pilates helpful in keeping her chronic back pain in check, in conjunction with regular exercise. Her dissertation was on the effects of Pilates in helping with persistent back pain and has developed skills to aid by combining osteopathic manual therapy and exercise.
Valentina is proactive in widening her osteopathic skills to include cranio-sacral approaches and is trained in medical acupuncture. She appreciates that a range of different treatment modalities are often required to approach varying levels of pain and individual circumstances.
